Guilds are our live group mentorships. Each Guild is run by a "Guild Master" (one of our professional mentors) who hosts live weekly sessions. During those sessions, students can receive live demos, feedback, and QA and with their Guild Master. You must be subscribed to the Pro tier or higher to have access to join a guild.

This depends on what type of review you're receiving. If your shot is submitted for an Open Review, the review will be prerecorded. If you're a part of a guild, you can have your shot reviewed live during a weekly Guild session. Additionally, any submitted assignment will receive a grade from one of our mentors.

Our curriculum is not accredited, but we have made significant effort to ensure our courses are created by experienced industry professionals who are experts in their field.

We do not offer payment plans at this time. Currently, you can access a variety of content through a monthly tier (Free, Basic, Pro). Paid tiers are only accessible through a monthly subscription payment.

Open review is a weekly prerecorded review session that is accessible to anyone subscribed to Basic and above, with limited spots available per a week. You can submit any assignment you've done for an AComm course for Open Review either at the end of the assignment submission process or by going to your Assignment page and clicking the "Submit to Open" review button on your assignment.

All prerecorded courses and live mentoring are taught in English.

To join an open guild, check the Guild list home page by clicking the Guild icon in your screen left nav bar. If a Guild has spots open and you are subscribed to Pro tier or higher, you will be able to join the Guild. You can't be in more than one Guild at once though, so if you'd like to join a different Guild than the one you are currently in, you'll need to leave that Guild and then join the other Guild.

We don't have a public release schedule, but we'll be aiming to bring a steady stream of new courses to the platform at regular intervals. If you have a course you'd like to see on the platform, reach out to us and let us know your suggestion.

We are not currently offering a certificate of completion.

Not yet. While we don't have a timeline of when/if LIVE courses will arrive, we do hope to bring live versions of courses to the platform.

You can use any software you like. Our curriculum includes courses using Maya, Blender, and Unreal. The software specific courses (Maya 101 for example) require that you submit your scene file for the homework. But most other courses focus on the animation concepts taught rather than specific software tricks.

Open Review is a weekly prerecorded feedback session available to all students subscribed at the Basic Tier or higher. Students can submit any submitted homework assignment to an Open Review Session. Each session has a limit of 8 slots and feedback is given on a first-come-first-serve basis.

Not yet. We plan to launch a subscription tier in the future that provides private mentorship, but the launch date for that is TBD.
No, not all. Some artists purely create prerecorded content for Agora Community, while others offer mentoring as well. To see who else offers mentorship and/or courses on the platform, check out our Teachers and Mentors page.
