Additional Notes: In this shot, I really wanted to focus on the performance of Disgust. I love the way she shoos everyone else out of the way; she wants her space, this is her job, and she wants a stage to perform on. And the process she goes through of evaluating what she's seeing (brocolli) is fantastic. It's not just one furrowed brow; she goes through different stages. At first she's confused and trying to evaluate the scene, and then you can she her confusion build and get bigger and bigger. This is all finally paid off with her big reaction of "Hold on! It's brocolli!!!!" This shot, and, frankly, all of "Inside Out" is great for analyzing character acting and portraying character in how someone moves. The Inside Out characters are caricatures of specific emotions, so the animators have to be thinking, all the time, about how Joy would handle a situation or how Sadness would handle that same situation, and how to portray that in their actions.
