One thing that really stuck me about this scene is that it's an intense quick-paced, quick cutting action scene, and yet it's very easy to understand what is going on. There's a busy background, complex characters, a giant robot, etc. etc. and yet nothing gets lost. As two of the reasons this works is that Yoshinari has very clear silhouettes and he slows in and slows out/holds on poses that are needed to explain the action to the audience. All the poses work, even in the long shots (https://www.bhphotovideo.com/explora/video/tips-and-solutions/filmmaking-101-camera-shot-types) where the characters are smaller and detail can't be used to explain things. And when the character is going through quick fighting motions, Yoshinari still keeps the speed of the action but still slows down just a little bit in the right areas to give it variety of timing and readability.
