Something I realized as I was analyzing this is that Peter is talking, we see his face, and almost all of his body...but we don't see the lips move because of the mask. This really goes to show that lip sync itself is NOT what sells a dialogue shot. Yes, if you have lip sync, it needs to be well done and believable. The mouth shapes needs to be right. But the lip sync alone is not what's going to carry the performance.
