Yes, the annotations in the video are mostly relating to mechanics, but I think this shot is a great example of how animation can be almost like dance or music. The animator has the poses hit on the accents/stresses in the dialogue and then animates within that pose before moving to the next beat. It makes the animation clear, punchy, and very appealing. Sometimes, when a pose is hit, the only thing that continues to have broad action is the lip sync (the rest of the pose may be settling or having some smaller business going on). This is a great contrast between busy action vs. a pause to make sure the audience can still follow.
