03 | Creating the Idea
DESCRIPTION
Alex shares his workflow on how to approach the beginning of a shot, finding a good dialogue, and creating an idea.
Here are some notes on what to look for in a Dialogue:
- Clear spoken english (or any other language)
- No side noises (claps, laugh etc.)
- Beginning Middle End of the point the character will be making
- We don't need to constrain ourselves to the dialogue length
- Character Breathing, Pausing and Thinking
- Not too long, try to make it between 8s to 16s
- Strong Personality
- Emotion Change

- What's the subtext of the shot
- Build a Layout and a Pose that shows this character personality
